Dave and Chad are the founders behind Affinity Stone, an IL stone veneer company that helps elevate the outside and inside of homes and businesses. From the beginning, this duo’s goal has been to create outstanding products for real people. Dave and Chad first met in 2006 after their wives thought that they should get together to talk business. During that initial meeting at Cracker Barrel, the two realized they had a lot in common. They had both worked with family manufacturing companies in the past and were ready for something new.
Dave and his family took the leap and moved from South Carolina to Illinois in order to be closer to Chad so that they could focus on their new adventure. This was the origin of their IL stone veneer company. Together, they started a premium building products business called Stone Creek Products (the banner that Affinity Stone is under today).
While the current flagship products of Affinity Stone are their mortarless stone siding and stone column wraps, the first product that Dave and Chad built was luxury pavers. Their pavers were known for having bold and gorgeous colors in addition to being high-quality. The goal was always to bring IL manufactured stone to the entire country.
The launch for Stone Creek Products may have gone smoothly, but that quickly changed. They had only been in business for a month when the 2008 mortgage crisis and the recession that followed shattered the economic landscape. Times were tough to say the least. But the pair was dedicated to their product and their dream.
Centered around high-quality IL manufactured stone pavers, Affinity was the perfect company to succeed in turbulent times. They were already nimble and ready to travel to near and far to make connections and their product on store shelves. Their pavers and other outdoor products were a favorite among homeowners and contractors alike.
The pavers and other products from Stone Creek Products proved popular in the Midwest. But, there was still room to develop and grow. In 2018, Dave and Chad wanted to come up with something new in order to expand their business even more. They were eager to create something that would take the market by storm and allow them to extend their reach outside of their Mid-West specialty. They were already known as the Illinois stone veneer company, but Dave and Chad had bigger ambitions.
That’s how Affinity Stone was created: a stone veneer that would provide homeowners and business owners with real, jaw-dropping styles. However, Affinity Stone was also designed to have a handful of game-changing features and benefits. In comparison to the traditional method of laying stone veneer, it would take professionals 80% less time to install their innovative panels. Dave and Chad also wanted to keep the price as low as possible, allowing more people to enjoy these distinctive styles.
